What is the best type of flat iron for ethnic hair?

I just bought a flat iron from Sally’s for $79.00. It is one of those Ion brand ones. A lady that I know said that the Chi are the best ones. But guess what, if you are not a licensed beautician in the state of Alabama then you cant but one. Ive already tired the Ion one and it works ok, But I am still tripping that I spent so much money one.Can anyone suggest another type of iron that will straighten my hair and keep it frizzy free?
